When we say Zeta Joint Accounts are designed for modern couples, we mean we created a bank account that adapts to your relationship, no matter what stage you’re at or how you choose to manage your shared finances. With Zeta, you get a bank account, two debit cards, and a ton of automated tools (via our app) to simplify your financial lives. So whether you’re splitting a few bills, fully merging your financial lives together, or doing something in between, Zeta Joint Accounts work tirelessly to make your shared money experience easy. Consider us your trusted advisor, helpful family CFO, and financial assistant.

This past month, we officially upgraded Zeta Joint Accounts to deliver a new-and-improved banking experience with a foundation for even more unique capabilities to come in the future (like linked accounts for your family members). Here’s a breakdown of exactly why Zeta Joint Accounts are awesome and what you’ll get when you join the Zeta community.

How Zeta Joint Accounts will work for you...

Keep your individual bank accounts (if you want)

We understand that moving your money to a different bank is a pain. With Zeta Joint Accounts you can keep your individual bank accounts and connect them to Zeta so you can move money in and out of your joint account easily.

Split your bills

No need to ping pong payments back and forth anymore. We make it easy for couples to share and/or split their bills any way they choose. We even make it easy for you to automate payments so there’s no need to remember when they’re due or if there’s enough in the account to cover it.

Reach your goals together

Saving for a down payment or a tropical vacation? It’s simple to set goals and work together to reach them. Follow and automate your progress in the app, stay on track, and celebrate when you accomplish your goals.

Communicate within the app

No more asking if a check cleared or what that mystery charge is. We make it easy to communicate within the app about specific transactions or goals so that you and your partner are always on the same page.

Support when you need it

We take our role as your financial partner very seriously, and we’ve built out a team of Zeta Concierges to help you with anything that might come up. Need some help with a transfer or want some advice on how to roll over your 401(k)? Our team of Concierges are eager to help.

Don’t take our word for it. Emily Anne on Google Play says, “Zeta’s customer service is also great and very responsive. Bonus points that you get your own personal concierge so it's the same person you're working with every time! I appreciate how easy it is to message them through the app.”

Education & guidance when you want it

Love is great, but sometimes it's not all a bed of roses. We've seen it all, so our editors and community can help you navigate any and all thorny topics when it comes to love and money.

Features you'll love:

In-app card management

Lost your debit card? Don’t worry, you can open the app and temporarily freeze it. Rest assured that all transactions made on that card will be declined. If you find your card, you can turn it back on. If you need a new card, you can request one directly in-app.

Find all the ATMs in your network on a map

Your Zeta Joint Cards account comes with free1 access to 55,000+ ATMs through the Allpoint network. Use Allpoint’s ATM map in-app to find the ATMs closest to you.

Virtual cards

All users receive virtual cards when their account opens, for greater convenience, greater privacy, and instant spending. This also means you can start using your Zeta card ASAP.

Interest on the whole account balance

Earn interest on your entire account balance not just a portion of your account.

Available to Spend & Bill Reserve

Zeta creates pockets for your money so that you know exactly what’s “available to spend” versus what’s reserved for an upcoming bill or check. Set aside money for your bills, tag your transactions (like rent and utilities), and keep your budget up to date.

Goals

Zeta gives you the option to save together automatically (or manually, if that's your jam). You can create multiple goals and set up auto saves to help you reach them as a team.

Spending trackers

Spending trackers let you set up a weekly or monthly budget for a specific category (like groceries) and track how you’re doing against that together.

Credit card insights

Credit cards can be linked in Bill Reserve, allowing you to see your balances and get a full view of your financial picture.

Confidence that your money is secure

Your Zeta Joint Account is backed by the FDIC and is insured up to the standard maximum deposit insurance amount of $500,000 through our partners, LendingClub Bank, N.A., and Piermont Bank, Members FDIC.2

Shared banking for modern couples

Zeta Joint Accounts were originally designed and inspired by years of deep research from thousands of couples with the goal of making shared banking truly delightful. We wanted to create something that could adapt to any couple’s situation, and evolve as your relationship evolved. We started off with the feature set we thought would be most valuable to Zeta members, and have continued to expand ever since. And now we’ve officially upgraded Zeta Joint Accounts to deliver a new-and-improved banking experience with a foundation for even more unique capabilities to come in the future. There’s so much more to come, and we can’t wait to share it with you!
